Hour of Code sign ups are open!
December 5-11, 2016 marks the birthday week of Ada Lovelace, the world’s 1st computer programmer and computing pioneer Dr. Grace Murray Hopper (read about both trailblazers and more). CSEdWeek began in 2009 which resulted in a Congressional Resolution recognizing the first CSEdWeek. It has been popularized as the Hour of Code to increase coding opportunities in all classrooms. Activities can be as simple as this history of computing, learning about Dr. Hopper or 1 hour at Code.org, or as complex as a coding project integrated with your subject. There’s a lot more details but for now, sign up at hourofcode.com and receive free posters and details on planning your Hour of Code during Computer Science Education Week!
And look for a Code.org workshop near you!
